THE SECOND ANNUAL IXWORTH VILLAGE HALL FLOWER & VEGETABLE SHOW JULY
14th July 2012. Doors open at 09.00-11.00 for entries. 14.00 for the show.
Admission on the day 50p. Under 5s free but if entered in a class entry is free
- CLASSES 1 – 8 HOME GROWN FLOWERS
- CLASSES 9 – 27 HOME GROWN PRODUCE
- CLASSES 28 – 37 COOKERY
- CLASSES 38 – 39 HANGING BASKETS
- CLASSES 40 – 42 FLOWER ARRANGING
- CLASSES 43 – 44 UNDER 14s
- CLASS 45 UNDER 5s
All this years classes & entry forms will be available as from May 4th & will be found in our local shops and our library. They can also be found on at the bottom of this page. Entry form & fee must be returned by July 12th to18 High St Ixworth Suffolk Entry forms can also be sent via email. Entry fees are 50p per class.
WHAT HAPPENS ON THE DAY
On the morning of the show the village hall will be open from 9am until 11.00 am for you to bring your entries. A committee member will write out an entry card for each of your entries before you stage them. After 11.00 the doors will be closed and the judging will begin so no further entries will be accepted.
The doors reopen at 2pm for you to see how your entries have fared and to view the other exhibits over a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
At 4pm the certificates and cups will be awarded. All classes have a rosette to 3rd place gaining points and each category has a trophy awarded to the highest amount of points accumulated to 1 person in that category.
Best in show is awarded to the best exhibit in show not most points accumulated. Entry fees are 50p per entry, Late entries on the day are 70p per entry
